- Akademia is dedicated to helping artists, scientists, humanities and other professionals unlock their vision, achieve global recognition for their work and financial independence. While we take every step to increase the likelihood of each client's success, we cannot guarantee a particular outcome due to unpredictable forces and the unique nature and circumstances of each person.
- Akademia Awards hosts an annual awards ceremony dedicated to recognizing the uppermost echelon of creative talent in all fields across the globe and advancing their careers. The determination of which submissions meet or exceed the stringent thresholds for award recognition in each field is at the sole discretion of the Akademia Executive team. Therefore, it is entirely possible in a given year that few entries (and possibly none) will meet these stringent criteria.
- Akademia Media is a network of 50 regional media sites, designed to represent most of the major cultural centers of the world. The goal of this network is to provide channels for creative works to reach the right audiences worldwide, and to provide Akademia news and content to members to enable them to experience what is happening in each region.
- By submitting your music, video, biographical information, photos or other creative content to Akademia you hereby grant Akademia license to use this creative content in a responsible and reasonable manner in accordance with our commitment to garnering more exposure and professional recognition for your creative work. You will retain 100% of the rights to your music.
- In accordance with our commitment to garnering more exposure for your work, Akademia may place your song, video or other creative content on our media channels. Due to the volume of placements, you may not be notified of each individual placement. However, you may contact Akademia at any time to request removal of your music, video or other creative content from any or all of our sites. All placements are secured for promotional purposes only and will not accrue royalties. Payments or grants by Akademia to clients is at the sole discretion of the Akademia Executive team in order to ensure that the overall system remains solvent and operational.
- Any request for an Akademia membership refund submitted within 3 days will be granted. After the 3-day refund period, no refunds will be issued for payments made as our team will have already commenced organizing and reviewing your client profile and data.
- Akademia membership requires a reasonable committment that is essential for our team to execute all services effectively on your behalf. You may cancel your membership at any time, however, to remove your profile and works from a regional collection requires approval of the Akademia Executive team as this may have an impact on benefactors and other stakeholders.
- Primordia is designed to be the definitive online profile of your attributes and achievements - a silver cord that connects you with the world and future generations. Your Primordia profile will be maintined on our site into perpetuity, even if you cancel your membership. You may, of course, contact us at any time to request removal of your Primordia profile and works from a regional collection, but such removal requires approval of the Akademia Executive team as this may have an impact on benefactors and other stakeholders.
- Digital works that have no physical component will be catalogued in regional collections as AMI's (Akademia Minted Items), files that may be accessed, displayed and played in a variety of settings. These files will be maintained and backed up for security, but will not be duplicated or disseminated to any other person.
- AMI (Akademia Minted Items) physical purchase orders may be cancelled within 24 hours. After that time period, production commences and the custom item is not eligible for a refund. Any items that arrive defective or damaged will be replaced at no additional cost to you. If a dispute or chargeback is claimed for the item after the 24-hour period, the plaque will be shipped out to you and you will be held responsible for the amount owed to Akademia. If a dispute or chargeback is claimed for an AMI after the 24-hour period, the AMI will be manufactured and the ownership of that item will remain with Akademia.
- AMI's may be held in a temporary holding facility prior to being transferred to an Akademia-approved vault. They will be subject to the same care and security measures during this temporary holding period to ensure their integrity.
- Gala Events: Any donation made to Akademia is to be considered separate and unrelated to gala attendance or any services provided during the course of the event. Any request for a refund of a donation received within 72 hours will be refunded within 5 - 7 business days. All other donations will be considered final after that period of time.
- Akademia expects all members and award winners to demonstrate the highest level of integrity and honor when representing or interacting with our organization, its employees, executives, other Akademia clients or the general public. Any negative publicity, chargeback or legal action against Akademia that we determine to be improper, unfair or harmful to our image, may result in the client being permanently stripped of one or all awards, honors or distinctions issued by Akademia and removal of your creative work from a regional collection, followed by a forfeiture of all future grants or revenue derived thereof.
- Any dispute arising under this agreement shall be finally settled on an individual basis in accordance with the Comprehensive Arbitration Rules of the Judicial Arbitration and Mediation Service, Inc. (“JAMS”) by three arbitrators appointed in accordance with such Rules. The arbitration shall take place in Los Angeles, California, in the English language and the arbitral decision may be entered in any court having jurisdiction thereof.
